Larry Maurer specializes in information technology consulting, with emphasis on organizational and operational procedures, systems integration and implementation.

During his 27 years of consulting and industry experience he has worked in the apparel, textile, carpet and leather goods industries, evaluating systems and guiding the selection, implementation and use of new technologies and information systems. Many of these systems addressed emerging technologies, such as EDI, Bar Coding and Imaging running on hardware platforms ranging from PC Networks operating under Windows NT and Novel to distributed processing systems operating on IBM AS/400’s.

Prior to joining The Context Group, Mr. Maurer had a number of industry positions, including Vice President of Information Services for an international apparel consulting firm and Director of MIS for the Women’s Apparel Group at Kellwood Company. Larry is also a former Senior Consultant with Kurt Salmon Associates.

Larry graduated from Rice University with a B.A and B.S. in Civil Engineering. He is active in a number of industry organizations, including the American Apparel And Footwear Association where he is past Chairman and current member of the Information Systems Committee.
