Richard Evans specializes in the design, development and deployment of MIS solutions for The Context Group.

While his consulting experience spans many different environments, from small start-up operations to major corporate projects, the areas where his contributions have been most valuable have been in the application of systems to achieve improvements in supply chain functionality, especially MRP, physical distribution, inventory management, and customer and vendor relationships. He has particularly detailed experience with the Syteline and QAD ERP’s.

Mr. Evans was the president of Alwoodley Associates where he built a reputation for the consistent delivery and reliable implementation of systems solutions for traditional retail and manufacturing environments such as Hechinger Company, Commercial Union Insurance and The Ford Motor Company.

In addition to his work with  supply chains, he has deployed his mathematical background in developing innovative techniques and high speed algorithms for such diverse applications as weather insurance premiums, rating high volume telephony traffic and the design of rules-based engines for the operation of automatic mail insertion equipment. Mr. Evans has also worked as a consultant in the MIS field with Kurt Salmon Associates, as a Director of MIS with Grieco Brothers Tailored Clothing in Massachusetts, and as an account executive with Burroughs Machines (now Unisys) in Europe.

Mr. Evans received a B.A. (1st Honors) in Mathematics from the University of York in England.

Since 1984 he has based his practice in New Hampshire where he has been an elected member of a local school board and a frequent contributor of articles on education reform.
