JET-PixJosh Taylor is a founding partner of The Context Group in 1993. He specializes in the areas of supply chain strategy & improvement, business strategy, & financial value analysis. He has served over 75 clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturers, retailers and suppliers to the following industry segments:

  • Home Furnishings
  • Carpet
  • Textile
  • Apparel
  • Consumer products
  • Retail and wholesale distribution

In addition to working with clients in the above industries, he has worked with financial investors, investment advisors and their law firms in due diligence assessments.

He has developed a comprehensive process for the Supply Chain Audit to enable clients to understand where there are gaps in their supply chain strategy or performance. Clients have used this model to evaluate supply chain strategies and improve their supply chain performance.

He has assisted clients in the following typical projects:

  • Due diligence assessments (markets, strategies, internal operations) of portfolio companies for financial investors.
  • Implemented a strategic planning process with several clients using competitive market assessments and SWOT analysis ( Threats , Opportunities Strengths and Weaknesses.)
  • Reduce overhead cost for several clients by an Overhead Valuation Analysis process including benchmarking key performance measures.
  • Reduce transportation cost by 5% for a major home products supplier through implementing an advanced transportation management system.
  • Improved inventory management and service performance for numerous clients

Prior to founding The Context Group, Mr. Taylor was a senior partner with Kurt Salmon Associates. He was responsible for developing KSA’s management consulting practice in the textile industry and managed the firm’s information systems practice.

Mr. Taylor received a B.A. degree from Yale University. He is past president of the Atlanta chapter of the International Society for Strategic Management and Planning, and served as a member of Association for Corporate Growth, Association of Production and Inventory Control (APICS), and the American Marketing Association.

He has also served on the board of Atlanta Technology Angels, an Atlanta-based group of investors in early stage technology companies.
